WBGO Summer Events Highlights

This week, you can catch The Family Stone at NJPAC this Thursday night at 5pm to see the legends of soul and funk play their classics at the free Sounds Of The City series! If you're in the city that night, stop over at 92Y to catch the last night of the Jazz In July series, which features Bucky Pizzarelli, Ken Peplowskiand Dennis Mackrelpaying tribute to Count Basie and Benny Goodman at 8pm. Sunday, head over to Staten Island's Clove Lakes Park to see Felix Hernandez's Rhythm Revue at the summer-long SummerStage concert series along with a screening of Our Latin Thing, a classic document of the salsa scene of the 1970's. Next week, Steve Kroonplays the monthly free WBGO Lunchtime Concert Series at 2 Gateway Center here in Newark Wednesday August 5th at noon!
