Many consider DR. CHARLES DREW to be the originator of the BLOOD BANK concept.
Dr. Drew's research on blood plasma and discoveries in the storage and processing of blood for transfusions lead to the invention of BLOOD BANKS. He trained a generation of Black physicians at Howard University.
