The Bad Plus Joshua Redman Apr. 16, 2016 In 2011, The Bad Plus invited saxophonist Joshua Redman to join them for a series of performances before heading into the studio to record their debut album, The Bad Plus Joshua Redman. The Los Angeles Times proclaims, “The Bad Plus (plus one) roared as if a quartet were always lying just beneath its surface.” The McFadden Brothers and Ida McBeth May 15, 2016 Ida’s musical style is so unique that it is hard to classify. Over the years, her repertoire has included pop-style ballads, jazz and blues, show tunes, funk, R&B, gospel and well known standards. Critics have described her as “a jazz singer,” “a blues singer,” “a pop singer” and “a cabaret singer.” A song stylist is the title Ida prefers. They have been entertaining since they were in elementary school, learning tap licks, and intricate rhythms from their father, Kansas City hoofer and all around entertainer Smilin’ Jimmy McFadden.
