REVEREND JESSE LOUIS JACKSON, SR.  was born on this day 10/8/1941, in Greenville, South Carolina.

He is a Baptist minister, civil rights activist and politician who was once a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination.


Jackson is the founder of Rainbow/PUSH.
